HAPPY 4/9THS OF THE WAY TO MEEEEE! (Week 34/Month 8)

Hello Everyone! Como estan?

Espero que todo es bueno!  Algo nuevo?  Que es pasando en Wyoming?  Es fuera super caliente?

Not much is going on this week.  We had Stake Conference this past weekend, and it was pretty good.  Our investigator came with her FOUR children!  It was kind of a scary nightmare, but it was worth it!  Her kids were running in and out in every direction!  It was really funny though.. We had a bunch of stickers and the Elders were sitting in front of us, and the kids put a BUNCH of alphabet stickers on their backs!  Oh I wish I got a picture!  It was so funny! :D haha :)  But Susana really enjoyed it!  Other than that, nothing really going on!

So, Yeah.

Sorry this is so short!  Transfers are next week!  I'm REALLY excited!

Love you all!

Con Amor,
Hna. Rachel Duncan

I HAVE BEEN SPAT UPON! :P/ Month 8! :O (Week 33)

Hola Everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful Father's day! :)

Our investigators are slowly but surely progressing. :)  We run into Agripino all the time and every time we ask him if we can share something with him, but he is always busy. :P  Oh well.  We are GOING to teach him a lesson today! :P haha :)  Patty is related to members on both sides of her family, so we are really happy about that, and we hope that we can utilized that in our lessons. :)  Susana is a trooper and is going on strong. :)  We taught her the Word of Wisdom and about Joseph Smith this week and she was understanding of how we should always keep our bodies healthy and clean. :)  She is great! :)

This week Sister Orgill had all the Hermanas come to her house and we had some food and some Italian Crème Sodas! :)  They were so good! :)  We had a wonderful training on how to be "Quick to Observe" and it was amazing.  Hna. Roos (My mom)  is going home Wednesday!  It is so crazy!  I am going to miss her like crazy!  :(  We had so many great memories! :P  but she will do great back home! I'm so excited for her. :)  she is having her farewell dinner tomorrow and we are having a Sleepover at President's house! :D  YAYYYYYYY! :D

I got really sick this week.  It was horrible.  ugh.  But all is well!

I HAVE BEEN OUT FOR 8 MONTHS!!! AHHHHH!!!!! D: (Almost!  This weekend!)

So funny story! :)  On Saturday we had a Father's Day party at the church (It was great!) and before the party we had to stop by at a member's house to pick up some bread because they couldn't come.  We drove down their street and we noticed their neighbors outside skating around in the street.  These guys are all college kids and are drink every time we see them.  Ugh.  Anyways, so we just wanted to run inside the house real quick and there was no parking spot so we just pulled up in front of the house and put on our hazards and stepped out of the car.  A drunk guy with super long shaggy hair, said, "Dude.  What are you doing, man?"  And we said, "We're sorry, we are only going to be a second!" And we ran in the house and grabbed the bread.  We literally were in there for 10 seconds.  We come out of the house and he spat all over our car! :/  We get in the car and he flipped us off like 3 times until we left and was cursing us out until we were out of earshot.  Was not very fun.  But no I can officially say "I have been spat upon". :P

Love you guys! :)  Hope you have a great Week! :)

Con amor,
Hna. Rachel Duncan

I Can't Live Without a Phone! :P (Week 32)

Hello!!!! :D

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY THIS SUNDAY!
This week was a super slow week! First things first, I am SO GRATEFUL that we have cellphones.  SO GRATEFUL.  Not having one for 4 days was the worst thing that happened to us, I don't know how we survived! :P  Because we didn't have our phone, we couldn't get ahold of anyone unless we personally visited someone, and that is REALLY hard to do in Spanish work.  But gratefully we got our new one this week! :)
I really don't have much more too say! :P

Other than we saw Agripino yesterday!  I had been praying that we would find him on the street because we couldn't get ahold of him!  We saw him yesterday!  We are going to see him today! Yay! :) Can't wait! :)
Whelp.  All is well! Love you!
Con amor,

#LaZanjaIsWhereItIsAt :D (Week 31)

First off, sorry I suck and haven't sent any emails for the past month!  P-days are so crazy! :P

This week has been GREAT! :)  So many miracles!  :)

We have been trying really hard to just focus on our investigators right now.  San Clamente has been kind of dead for a long time, and it is time to bring it some life!  We currently have 4 investigators! :) They are:

S...a - S...a is such a sweet lady!  The hermanas found her 3 months ago, and have been teaching her ever since.  I have only had 2 lessons with her, but they have been great so far!  We had such a beautiful experience with her!  We were planning for our lesson with her, and we were going to teach about the Tree of Life and somehow tie it into baptism, but it just didn't sit right with me, and I felt prompted we should share something about the Holy Ghost and how we can feel the Spirit.  We all felt really good about that and we knew that that was what we needed to teach.  Our lesson with her went sooooo good!  We asked her what she thought the Spirit was, and explained what it was, how we can feel it, and why we need the Holy Ghost in our life.  The way the lesson flowed, was just perfect.  We all gave each other "the look" and we knew we needed to invite her to be baptized.  SHE SAID YES! :D  WOOOOOOO! But she has to talk to her husband, so yeah.  Hope he respects her wishes!  But it will be a long process before she can be baptized because  she has some martial complications... :P it is a long story. :P

A...o   - A...o was found maybe a month or two ago by the hermanas and we taught him his first two lessons this week! :)  They were AWESOME.  We had a lesson with the Garcia family with him and hna. Garcia (Not my companion..) did AMAAAAZING!  Beautiful.  It was a lesson about the Book of Mormon and it just flowed so beautifully!  We are going to have a FHE with the Garcias again and A...o is coming! :)  So we are really excited! :)

P...i - Oh sweet P...i!  Such a cutie!  She is 32 and her cousins are members in our ward, but they are inactive.  She was a referral from the C...z Family (Her cousins) and she is very sweet.  She may have some special needs, but when she met her and talked to her for a little bit, she opened right up to us, and broke down and shared with us her feelings and concerns.  It was a wonderful lesson!  We invited her to be baptized and well and she said yes! :)  We don't intend on setting a date until we meet with her parents.  We hope all will be well! :)

V...a - V...a has been taught by the hermanas for a long time now.  Her older brother is V...e, he just recently got baptized and few months ago, along with her younger brother.  They are not active unfortunately..  But we are working with her, and it is going well so far! :)  She loves reading the Book of Mormon!  LOVES IT!  She really understands it pretty well, considering she is only 13! :)  But she is making progress!

We had 107 contacts this week!  That is a miracle!  That is the most contacts I have ever made in my whole mission!

(A street/apartment complex we spend majority of our time...)

Everything else is going great!  Our phone officially died (My fault, oops!) So we won't be having a phone until Thursday... So... yeah.  Sorry!

Hope all is well! :) Love you!  Thank you!

Spanish of the Week:
Como es ido? :)
(Comb-o-es-ee-do)
How it goes? (How is it going?)

Scariest dog ever.  We thought a member lived here, but she doesn't.  We have been going to this door for the past 2 weeks every other day and I swear the dog is going to burst out and eat my face.  Ugh. Glad we don't have to go there anymore! :P

La Zanja! (In Spanish, it means Ditch)  Where we spend majority of our time. :)
It is creepy, but I LOVE IT. Plus, there are ducks.  #quack

The horrible bug I found in the bathroom!  AHHHH!!! It had a billion legs!  It took 20 minutes to kill it!  I hope it doesn't have babies.... O.O
